Trustees

Our Vision is to prevent and ultimately eliminate sexual violence in the future, while today ensuring that survivors of rape and other forms of sexual violence in Moray receive the support they need, close to home and informed by intersectional feminist values.

Volunteering your time and effort helps us to continue the vital work we provide and it’s rewarding to know you are part of a lifeline to survivors of sexual violence and at the forefront of the fight to end sexual violence.

“Becoming a Trustee provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the vital work being done by the team at MRC. It is so rewarding to be a part of an organisation which is at the leading edge of the campaign to end gender-based violence”

We are seeking to increase the capacity of our existing Board and welcome applications from women age 18+ who have the skills, knowledge and commitment to help us achieve our vision of a world free from sexual violence. Board members play a crucial role in the future development and governance of the service. Board members are responsible for the legal and financial running of the organisation. They are involved in policy and strategic direction.

intersex inclusive pride flagWe are an intersectional feminist organisation meaning we understand how different oppressions converge and we know this impacts each survivor differently. We support people of any gender, race, sexual orientation, disability and religious and cultural background. We are committed to operating a diverse and inclusive organisation, and especially welcome applications from women of colour and LGBTI women.
