Vacancies: New Service for Survivors with Learning Disabilities and Polish-Speaking Survivors
Established in 2018, Moray Rape Crisis provides therapeutic support, information and advocacy for children, young people and adults of all genders, aged 11 and over, in the Moray area, who have experienced any form of sexual violence at any time in their lives, including rape, sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse and sexual exploitation. We also work directly with young people in schools and youth settings, and with strategic partners, towards preventing sexual violence.
We are seeking the following posts to help deliver the FEM Project in Moray. Funded by the UK Tampon Tax Fund to 31 March 2023, the FEM project is an innovative partnership project with Edinburgh Rape Crisis Centre, Forth Valley Rape Crisis Centre and Moray Rape Crisis which aims to increase the accessibility and inclusivity of rape crisis support for survivors of sexual violence with learning difficulties and/or from BME communities.
Therapeutic Support Worker (Learning Needs and Disabilities) (28 hours)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Therapeutic Support Worker to provide specialist therapeutic support and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence with learning needs and disabilities across Moray. The role will also include elements of service development and joint working with statutory, third sector and community organisations in Moray which provide services to people with learning needs and disabilities, including the development of referral pathways.

Polish-Speaking Therapeutic Support Worker (28 hours)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Polish-Speaking Therapeutic Support Worker to provide first language therapeutic support and advocacy for Polish-speaking survivors of sexual violence across Moray. The role will also include elements of service development and joint working with statutory, third sector and community organisations in Moray which provide services to Polish-speaking communities in the area, including the development of referral pathways.

Support and Development Lead (21 hours)
We are seeking a skilled and experienced practitioner to provide day-to-day coordination of the FEM project at Moray Rape Crisis, and also contribute to the overall coordination of our support services, including the provision of high-quality line management and supervision to members of our support worker team. The postholder will take a lead role in developing the FEM project in Moray, and will also support a small caseload of survivors, in particular delivering initial assessments.
