We know that the festive season can be hard. Though our office will be closed, the Rape Crisis Scotland helpline will remain open throughout Christmas and New Year each evening from 5pm to midnight. The helpline will close an hour early at 11pm on Christmas Day & Boxing Day.

If something has happened recently
If something has happened recently, you can contact the NHS sexual assault self-referral phone service for care and support. If you are aged 16 and over, and are unsure whether you want to report to the police, this service may be able to arrange for you to have a forensic medical examination without reporting to the police. If you are under 16, you find information about where you can get help at www.nhsinform.scot/turn-to-sarcs/if-youre-under-16
