Side-by-Side: Support for People with a Learning Disability or Need

a white background with purple and green geometric shape that is the side-by-side logo

No matter when it happened, or who it was, if someone has harmed you or made you feel uncomfortable in a sexual way, even if you are not sure, you can contact Side-by-Side to speak with someone.

Side-by-Side is a sexual abuse and trauma service for people with a learning disability or need who have experienced any form of sexual harm at any time in their life.

We support people of any gender, race, sexual orientation, disability, and religious and cultural background.

Whatever happened, you are not to blame.

If someone has harmed you, it is not your fault.

The person who harmed you is responsible. Sexual abuse is against the law, and it is wrong.

How to Contact Us

You can contact us for support for yourself or for someone else in your family or someone you know. You can ask a support worker, parent, friend or agency to refer you.

Moray Rape Crisis is a confidential service that is independent from social services, the police, and other official agencies. We will not tell you what to do or judge your actions.

You can access our referral form here and in Easy Read here.

Our normal office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

IT IS POSSIBLE TO HEAL FROM SEXUAL HARM. MORAY RAPE CRISIS CAN HELP WITH THIS
